STAYING IN A CABIN

Camp Immokalee features a number of cabins equipped with bunkbeds. Bedspace is reserved on a "first come, first served" basis so please make your reservation early to reserve your preferred bedspace for the event (lower bunk/upper bunk.)

The cabins on the girl side of the camp (right side of Camp Immokalee)  feature interior bathrooms (toilet and shower plus a separate double-sink area with a large mirror).

On the 'boy side' of the camp (left side of Camp Immokalee) there is a public bath house with showers, sinks, and toilets for use of people staying in the cabins and tents on that side of the camp.

There are mattress pads on each bed but you may want to pack extra mattress pads for additional comfort. You also need to bring your choice of bedding (blankets, pillows, sheets, sleeping bags, etc.)

All cabins are non-smoking cabins.

STAYING IN A TENT

Tent areas:

Tenting is allowed in all areas not reserved for activities by the autocrat.

We kindly ask you to to set up only canvas/medieval looking tents in those areas closest to the list field to help us create a medieval ambiance and backdrop for our main activities and the tournaments. For Trimaris Kingdom Arts & Sciences Fair 2018 this area is the open square between feast hall, pool, trading post, bath house, and pole barn.

Bathrooms:

When you are tenting on the 'girl side' of the camp (right side of Camp Immokalee) you are welcome to use the bathrooms and showers inside the cabins Wilma, Bowen, and Wildlife. Please be courteous, quiet, and leave a clean bathroom.
Watch the cabin doors in particular - they like to bang shut if you don't hold on!

Please note that the cabin "Beaver Bob" (first cabin) is exclusively for royal and baronial nobles use and there is no public access to it.

On the 'boy side' of the camp (left side of Camp Immokalee) there is a public bath house with showers, sinks, and toilets.

Camp fires:

Only above-ground fire pits are permitted at Camp Immokalee. Please pay attention to potential fire bans, and follow basic camp fire safety rules at all times:

  1. Position you fire pit away from overhanging branches.

  2. Clear a five-foot area around the pit down to the soil.

  3. Keep a bucket of water and a shovel nearby.

  4. Stack extra wood upwind and away from the fire.

  5. After lighting, do not discard the match until it is cold.

  6. Never leave a campfire unattended.

  7. Do not empty your fire pit when the ashes are still warm.

  8. Only empty your fire pit into an existing fire ring (near cabins).

Due to damage caused by hurricane Irma and the ongoing problems with erosion at Camp Immokalee, it is now no longer possible to drive directly up to the cabinsCars are only allowed to access the roundabout at the camp entrance. Parking has been extended to the former melee field. We will have the use of a golf cart on site  as well as handcarts to help you bring your luggage to your cabin. You are welcome to bring your own carts and wagons, and would love you even more if you could help shuttle your fellow SCAdian cabinmates to and fro cabins and main hall.
