Bardic Competition

Coordinator: Deirdre Ui Mhaille (Kathy Duffy)

Sign up on site!

This bardic competition is open to any Trimarian in attendance who wishes to represent our kingdom as Warrior Bard (planning to attend Gulf Wars to encourage the troops would be a good aspiration for the Warrior Bard). Entries should deal with some aspect of the Warrior's life such as heroes, epic battles, love of a warrior, training, tall stories, loyalty, knightly virtues, etc. It can be your own original work or a piece created by somebody else. If an entrant uses somebody else's work they must credit the source. The entry does not need to be a period piece, documentation is not required.

The winner is encouraged to wear the baldric proudly and return next year to run the competition. The Warrior Bard of Trimaris also receives the Sword of the Warrior Bard.

"WRIGHT OF CASTLEMERE"
BARONIAL ARTS & SCIENCES FAIRE

Coordinator: Deirdre Ui Mhaille

Contact: Irishlibrarian722@att.net

Come one, come all to participate in the Baronial Arts and Sciences Faire at Cutlasses & Corsairs 2018 to compete for the coveted title and honor of "Wright of Castlemere" as baronial Champion for the arts and sciences!

Theme: "I'm packing my satchel" - items you would find in a Knight Templar's luggage

Documentation: The only documentation required is a 3x5'' notecard with the following information
-What is the item? (include culture and place of origin and a brief description)

- Materials you used to make it (please note substitutions from historically accurate materials)

- one primary source for the entry

From all entrants, the baronial A&S Champion of Castlemere will be selected. Ideally, this champion will be a resident of the Barony of Castlemere whose skill and passion in their arts fosters the arts among the populace. The champion will be selected by the Baroness, the Baronial Minister of Arts and Sciences, and a local Peer. Non-resident artisans are also eligible to compete for the honor of baronial A&S champion of Castlemere, as long as they do not hold a Baronial championship title from ANY other Barony within the Kingdom of Trimaris. This is in keeping with the wishes of the Baronies of Trimaris that no person may hold Baronial Championships from more than one Barony at a time.
